Very happy to have contributed a short essay titled “reIMAGINE Arctic (Research)” to artist Swaantje Güntzel’s catalogue “Grüße vom Nordpol sendet Dir Deine Freundin Wilhelmine / Best wishes from the North Pole Your friend Wilhelmine”. The catalogue was published on the occasion of the completion of Swaantje’s Fellowship at the Research Institute for Sustainability Potsdam | at GFZ, where we had the chance to bring art and science into a fruitful and respectful dialogue with each other. I very much appreciated the regular exchange about the diverse questions, approaches, experiences, and observations we encounter while working in, with, and on Arctic matters.
