Publication of my short documentary “Looking for Mr. Right Now” in the second volume of the Journal of Visual and Media Anthropology with the title: Augmented Lives: Experiences in Mobility, Big Data, and Robotics.
This peer-peer reviewed open-access journal continues to presents new research, written works, and short films that explore digital environments and cultures whilst also self-consciously experimenting with innovative modes for representation, as well as new forms if integrating written and multi-media ethnography. The articles and films within this issue reflect on the consistent expansion and acceleration of digitalization processes examined via religion, games and play, urban mobility, community development, online dating and big data. This journal is a venture of Freie Universitaet Berlin’s Research Area Visual and Media Anthropology.
