I was honoured to be part of a panel discussion on 2 August that kicked off the programme of events for the exhibition ‘Stand der Dinge. Swaantje Güntzel’ [Current Situation. Swaantje Güntzel], moderated by curator Claudia Rasztar. Artist Swaantje Güntzel and I discussed synergies, as well as challenges, arising from the convergence of art and science, and how this worked out in practice while working together in the research group reIMAGINE Arctic Research at the RIFS. A big thank you to the Schoss Agathenburg team, who welcomed me and my furry companion, Toni, so warmly into their midst.
The exhibition ‘Stand der Dinge. Swaantje Güntzel’ [Current Situation. Swaantje Güntzel] at Schloss Agathenburg is now open to the public. The exhibition brings together works that explore overconsumption, tourism, colonial history and the mechanisms of digital attention.
