Invited Lecture: Ethnological Colloquium Hamburg University

Every semester, the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology organizes the Ethnological Colloquium, bringing together a variety of guest lectures, film screenings and discussion sessions that are open for the public. On December 5 2023, I was invited to give a lecture on my experiences working in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) and Denmark, focusing on storytelling as a site of knowledge creation and meaning-making to better understand how relationships are established and community is made in Kalaallit Nunaat.

Lecture Title: Storytelling as Site and ‘Multimodal Knotting’ as Practice: Experiences from Working in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) and Denmark

I want to thank J. Otto Habeck and Laila Prager for extending the invitation, and for the audience in Hamburg for their interest in my work and for the inspiring questions and conversations afterwards.
